It’s time to get to know the team that little bit better, whilst finding out more about Mode for… along the way!
First up is Director, Tabby Kerwin! All round wonderwoman, with so many strings to her bow whilst always adding more! Good food & wine lover…oh and cats! Find out what she answered below;
Who are you & what do you do?
I’m Tabby and I’m am the lady behind Mode for… You’ll find me constantly working in and on the business, developing what we do and actively working as a performance coach, trainer and writer.
How long have you been running Mode for…?
My late husband Simon and I co-founded Mode for… back in 2008 and I’ve been going solo since 2018 when Simon sadly died. It has been my passion for 14 years and I love it.
What’s your favourite memory of your time running Mode for…?
Ooh, tricky to pick out just one but I think it’s more the feelings and emotions that stick with me over the years, especially as I’ve been so fortunate to experience so many things from performing at amazing international sporting events to holding interventions with people to live happier lives. Creating opportunities for other people is definitely up there in the best memories bank and every moment Simon and I shared in the business is precious. It’s not always been easy thanks to things like recessions and global pandemics, but it’s been one hell of a ride so far!
What hobbies do you have outside of work?
Travelling and I’m a real foodie and lover of great wine. I love anything that’s an experience.
Tell us something exciting coming for Mode for… that we might not know about?
There’s always something new and some things will happen soon I don’t know about yet myself because we do tend to roll with what our clients need, but we are preparing our own bespoke emotional fitness, mental health and wellness programmes which we will be rolling out. I especially love this as I’m hoping it will give opportunities to other trainers to come on board and experience the Mode for… life.
What are you studying at University? And how are you finding it?
I’m just in the last few months of completing my Masters in Applied Positive Psychology. This final year has been tough but I’ve loved it all… except quantitative statistics – not so much a fan of that!
Which is your most favourite area of the business?
I genuinely love it all and that’s because I maintain the ethos Simon and I set the business up on which is do what we love and love what we do. If I didn’t love a particular part of the business and it didn’t serve me and my clients it would be gone.
Why do you love what you do?
Because every day is different and there are endless possibilities to do things that genuinely make me happy, plus I get to share that with some awesome people – especially my incredible team at Mode for…
